Dr. Dobney was my history teacher at St. Louis University. He was a fantastic teacher. I will never forget the day he walked into the classroom and announced class was cancelled- the Americans had just announced a complete withdrawal of all troops from Vietnam. As Dr. Dobney said, "I've waited a long time for this day." It made that day stick in my memory, and the event was one I looked on with amazement, because of the way Dr. Dobney treated it. I also took a Southern history course from him(I am from Georgia), and he gave me excellent books to read. It was a great course. Oh, what a gift he was to his students- I am sorry for your family's loss. He lives on in our lives, and in what we have learned from him. Rosemarie LeMoine
